“In Company” – Fine Art Print

In Company explores quiet companionship and alert stillness within the natural world. The two figures stand close, their bodies aligned yet independent, suggesting a shared awareness shaped by proximity rather than action. There is no overt movement, only a mutual presence held within an open, unmarked space.

Rendered with careful attention to texture and form, the drawing reflects an interest in animals not as spectacle, but as beings shaped by environment, instinct, and social proximity. The sparse composition and generous use of negative space allow the figures to stand without distraction, encouraging a slower and more contemplative viewing experience.

This work forms part of an ongoing body of practice centred on African wildlife, observation, and stillness. The drawing process is deliberate and unhurried, mirroring the quiet balance and attentiveness present within the subjects themselves.
